Dear friends and colleagues,
We are delighted to present the inaugural European Congress of Dietetics as EFAD’s first ever virtual conference! COVID-19 created a worldwide challenge but it has also presented opportunities to innovate. Necessity is the mother of invention and EFAD has grasped this opportunity with both hands.
The congress theme is “The Vital Link To Health” and we will be exploring all aspects of this over five vibrant virtual days. Congress attendees will get to travel to the four corners of Europe through our virtual host countries – Ireland, Sweden, Croatia and Israel. On the final day attendees will travel back to the heart of European dietetics with an EFAD hosted day. The scientific programme committee wants everyone to get a virtual gastronomy travel experience and we will be sprinkling the food flavours of each country throughout the hosted day!
Leading the innovation will be our interactive conference platform, the inspirational line-up of keynote speakers and stimulating parallel sessions. Attendees will be able to catch-up on the latest developments in topical areas like sustainability, cancer, obesity and COVID-19 and engage in meaningful conversations with thought leaders. The EFAD Congress has always been an incredible networking event and the platform for this year is going to ensure everyone attending can still build their networks through casual and ‘meet the expert’ sessions.
The congress is shaping up to be a fantastic opportunity for professional development and networking. I look forward to meeting you all on our journey through European dietetic excellence!
